Faridat (fah-ree-duh) is a self-taught makeup artist that doubles as a psychiatric registered nurse and doctor of nursing practice student.

Her love for makeup began in 2012 as a freshman in high school. To feel pretty, she would take her mother’s brown MAC pigment and smear it all over her eyelids. Sparking her creativity, Faridat started watching and taking notes from dark-skinned YouTube makeup gurus like Jackie Aina, makeupd0ll, and BeautybyJJ.

After years of practicing on herself and close friends, the birth of Faridat’s first makeup artistry business BeatbyFre launched in 2015. Her clientele ranged from classmates and peers that would request her services for occasions such as birthdays, prom, graduation, plays and musicals.

After a 9 year hiatus, Faridat tapped back into her creative outlet and revamped BeatbyFre into Faridat K. Beauty - a luxurious makeup brand specializing in flawlessly kempt beats. Faridat K.
